The 30th annual Louis Vuitton Cup, which determines who races in the America's Cup Finals, kicks off the on July 4 and continues through August. September begins with the first-ever Redbull Youth America's Cup featuring the best young sailors from around the world. Finally, the 34th America's Cup Finals brings the competition for the oldest trophy in international sport back to the U.S. for the first time in 18 years.

The America's Cup is a trophy awarded to the winner of the final race between two yachts. The race to the final championship is an exciting and dramatic journey, and San Francisco will be the stage for spectacular showdowns. This spectacle of skill, speed, and agility is unlike any other sporting event, and seeing the action unfold in San Francisco Bay -- against the backdrop of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, Alcatraz and Angel Island -- will be a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. Ticketed seating starts at $50, but free viewing is available to anyone who can stake out a spot along the waterfront. Guests at the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf Hostel will have superb views of the race course.

30th Annual Louis Vuitton Cup: July 4 – August 30
The Louis Vuitton Cup determines who will race the Defender in the America's Cup Finals. 2013 significantly marks the 30th anniversary of the race which first took place in Newport, Rhode Island, in 1983.

Redbull Youth America's Cup: September 1-4
This first-ever event features ten national teams of sailors ages 19-24, competing on AC45 catamarans.

America's Cup Finals: September 7-21
The 34th America's Cup marks the first time the finals have been held in the United States since 1995. Featuring the fastest boats and best sailors, with the picturesque San Francisco Bay as a backdrop, this event is set to be the biggest in sailing history.
